NSR Training and Consulting presents Concealed Carry Pistol Skills —a focused, intensive 8-hour course designed to elevate your handgun proficiency specifically for real-world concealed carry scenarios.
This course is ideal for concealed carry permit holders, armed citizens, and those with basic pistol experience who want to bridge the gap between range fundamentals and effective defensive use under stress. Drawing from our commitment to practical, mission-focused training rooted in real-world challenges, you'll refine critical skills that enhance safety, accuracy, speed, and sound decision-making when it matters most.
Course Objectives:
Master a reliable, repeatable draw from concealment (various holster positions and clothing types)
Improve rapid, accurate shot placement on threat-appropriate targets under time pressure
Develop malfunction clearance and tactical/ speed reloads while maintaining situational awareness
Incorporate movement, use of cover, and positional shooting to simulate dynamic encounters
Train stress inoculation drills to build performance under physical and mental fatigue
Reinforce legal and ethical considerations for concealed carry self-defense
What to Expect:
Classroom portion: Gear setup, mindset review, anatomy/physiology of defensive shooting, and scenario discussion
Live-fire range time: Progressive drills starting with fundamentals review and advancing to high-intensity, decision-based exercises
Emphasis on safe, efficient gun handling and realistic application for everyday carry
Prerequisites:
Basic pistol familiarity (able to safely load, unload, and shoot groups at 7-15 yards)
Valid concealed carry permit or equivalent experience (if applicable in your jurisdiction)
Reliable concealed carry pistol, strong-side holster (IWB/OWB), cover garment, at least 3 magazines, 300-400 rounds of ammunition, eye/ear protection, and appropriate range attire
